Kaka'ako Days

The Kaka'ako Days festival was full of memories for those familiar
with the area. The two day event was a celebration of the mom-and-pop
businesses and cultures from the area. The event was full of people
enjoying various activities, demonstrations, entertainment and food all
over Ward. |
| Activities included Chinese paper cutting, Lion Dances, artist
demonstrations, and a historical photo exhibit. The event was
even topped off with families taking tours of Kaka'ako in an antique
fire truck. |

Author Marsha Gibson was also present to sign copies of her book
"Kaka'ako As We Knew It", which tells the story of Gibson as a young
girl growing up in Kaka'ako and the memories of those around her. |
