The Hawaii Community Development Authority (“HCDA”) regulates planning and zoning for the Kakaako Community Development District (“Kakaako District”).

Pursuant to Act 165 (SLH 2006), the boundaries of the Makai Area of the Kakaako District have been revised.  Effective July 1, 2006, HCDA does not have zoning jurisdiction over Piers 1 and 2 and adjacent container yard lands.

The revised map below shows the new boundaries for the Makai Area.  Maps in the Makai Area Plan and Rules will be updated.  In the interim, please refer to the revised map.
