Keola La'i Modification Request

Public Hearing Was Held on December 6, 2006

The Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) conducted a public hearing on December 6, 2006 for a modification request for the Keola La'i Project.  The hearing was held at 9:00 a.m. at 677 Ala Moana Boulevard, Suite 1000, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. 

At the hearing, A&B Properties, Inc. Vice-President of Development Rick Stack, Jr., said that the proposed modifications would have no impact on views or on adjacent uses or properties.  There was no other public testimony given at the hearing.

Keola La'i, being developed by A&B Kakaako LLC, is a residential/commercial high-rise complex now under construction at 600 Queen Street.  The Project is a 42-story structure with 352 residential units (including 63 gap group residences), 10,890 square feet of commercial space and 697 parking spaces.  A&B Kakaako LLC has requested a modification to its Planned Development Permit (PD 1-05) to allow four encroachments of the view corridors along Queen Street on the fifth level, and along South Street on the fourth and fifth levels.
